Definition:

• Report to the Safety Manager.
• Advise the Project Management team on safety matters.
• Control all certification matters (cranes, rigging, ...)
• Participate in all safety meetings
• Execute all audits and inspections on site
• Organise toolbox and pre-job meetings
• Add safety aspects in the activity manuals
• Work in collaboration with the operational supervisors to guarantee the safety on site

Professional experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer on industrial sites on projects with mobile cranes and/or projects with SPMT’s.
• Specific professional experience in the domain of Petrochemical, refinery and mining installations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in coordinating sites with > 25 persons

Education:

• Degree of Safety Manager.
• Safety for operational supervisors (SCC **) or a similar training.

Skills:

• Able to successfully finish a project on such a scale
• Capable to work under stress
• Able to read and interpret loading charts
• Posses leadership qualities
• Know the risks in the domain of lifting, hoisting and heavy transport
