'Want-to-hoist-for-you' celebrates 5 years in business

12hoist4u, the leading supplier of personnel for any position in the global market for lifting and hoisting, celebrates its 5 year anniversary this October since its founding in 2008. What started as a small start-up with just two employees has now grown into a nationally and internationally recognized recruiting agency for the niche market to which they are fully dedicated: hoisting, lifting, heavy lift and specialised transport.
12hoist4u has the largest pool of specialists available in every imaginable position related to lifting and hoisting and has worked on all continents except for Australia; we have plans for that continent in the near future.

About 12hoist4u

'Since we began as 12hoist4u in October 2008, we have continued to learn and refine our process as it proved that the market was in need of a reliable source for lifting and hoisting professionals' said Peter Verhoef, founder and owner of 12hoist4u.
'Along the way, we have developed our own strategic approach to offer our dedicated services, advanced quality control and reporting, and a cutting-edge team of employees. We have exciting plans for the future and I look forward to another successful 5 years'.
The 12hoist4u team brings together many decades of experience in the lifting and hoisting industry on the one hand and within the international recruiting services on the other hand.

Led by Mieke van der Heijden as general manager, 2013 thus far sees growth on all aspects of the company: long term commitments from market leading companies and double digit growth figures.

Safety

For 12hoist4u, safety is paramount. Our Goal is to have Zero incidents and we firmly belief that we can operate without significant incidents.

Even being aware of the fact that there will always be operational hazards related to the nature of our business: lifting and hoisting.
Thus far we managed: zero Lost Time Incidents.
To support this aim, we continue to roll out new initiatives to strengthen our safety culture. First of all by our commitment as per company policy, auditing for our Safety Contractor Certificate and ToolBoxTalks. But also by means of our automated personnel registration system, that enables us to send safety instructions on a regular base as well as on a ad-hoc base. In addition, the programs safeguard the valuable equipment of our clients that are operated, supervised or managed by our personnel and minimize the permanent impact of heavy lifting and transport activities to installations or the environment of our clients.

We believe that working safely is the responsibility of every individual working for, through or with us and we will never compromise on safety!

Forward looking statement

With first signs of economic recovery the future for 12hoist4u looks bright. Amongst the challenges and expectations for the coming five years the following topics are worth to mention:

  • Contractors operating their own equipment will gradually outsource their specialised personnel and are going to work with personnel coming from a skilled pool of specialists. Thus changing “fixed labour costs into flexible costs”, resulting in serious savings; 12hoist4u shall play a dominant role in this transition.
  • Crane rental and heavy lift companies will increasingly rely on temporary workforces during periods of peak demand such as shutdowns and revamps in the oil & gas, chemical in petro chemical industry.
  • An increasing safety awareness as well as the need to comply with rules and regulations will result in a higher demand for HSEQ and supervising personnel having dedicated knowledge of lifting and hoisting equipment and procedures.
  • The challenge of an aging workforce, combined with shrinking pools from which to draw new workers, has been particularly apparent in the public sector and in mature industries such as petroleum, chemicals, mining, and aerospace and defence. Many firms that we work with are facing a number of issues associated with this trend. In response, they are attempting to extend the working career of their employees through alternative work arrangements and seek back up of specialised companies such as 12hoist4u.
